Orders, Cakes and Catering FAQS

How much notice do I need to place an order?

Typically if you order by 2pm the day before, we can have ready for you the next day for pick up (subject to availability). We recommend giving at least 48hours notice, especially when coming closer to the weekend, as we can book up fast!

Tuesday pick up orders need to be placed by the previous Saturday 2pm, due to being closed Sunday and Monday.

Can I order something for same day pickup?

Sometimes! This depends on what we have available and how busy we are. For larger quantities, cakes, catering or custom orders, advance notice is required.

If you need something urgently, get in touch and we'll let you know what we can do.

Do you make custom cakes?

No we do not. We just make the cakes we have available to purchase on our website.

Can I just walk in and buy a whole cake or catering platters?

Unfortunately, our whole cakes and catering platters are made to order, and require to be ordered in advance

How do I store my cake and how long will it last?

Your cake should be kept refrigerated until you're ready to serve it, particularly if it contains fresh cream, custard, fruit or other perishable fillings or toppings.

Keep the cake covered and stored in the fridge, ideally in its original cake box, to help prevent it from drying out and absorbing other flavours from the fridge.

For the best flavour and texture, we recommend taking your cake out of the fridge approximately 30–60 minutes before serving, depending on the size and type of cake. This allows the cake and icing to come back to room temperature and taste their best.

For the best quality, we recommend enjoying your cake within 2–3 days of collection, provided it has been stored correctly in the refrigerator.

Some cakes and fillings may have different storage requirements, so if you're unsure, please ask us when collecting or ordering your cake.

Can I customise a catering order?

Where possible, yes. Please contact us to discuss what you need and we'll let you know what we can offer. We may need minimum order quantities for customised items, and more notice to prepare them.

Online Orders and Collection FAQS

How do I pay for my order?

Orders must generally be paid in full directly on our website before pickup or delivery unless another arrangement has been made with us.

Can I cancel my order?

We understand that plans can change. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to cancel.

Our standard cancellation policy requires at least 48 hours' notice. Refunds may not be available if preparation has already started or the applicable payment deadline has passed.

Can someone else collect my order for me?

Yes. Just let us know the name of the person collecting your order if it is different from the name on the order, or make sure they know the name on the order so we can give them the correct items

Why can't I select certain days or times in the cart when checking out?

Typically if you can't select a day or time in the cart when checking out, it means either you have missed the cut off, we are fully booked or we are closed that day. Please contact us before ordering if you wish to collect on a day and time not showing, and we can see if we can accommodate.

I want to order for outside of opening times. Is that possible?

We offer pick ups from 8am Tuesday - Saturday which is before our shop opening time of 10am. We do not offer pick ups outside of our closing time.

We are available Mondays for catering orders only by appointment. Please contact us first to check our availability.

We are closed Sundays to allow our team a day of rest.

For significantly large orders, we may be able to accommodate outside of hours. This is done on a case by case basis, subject to availability. Please contact us further

Delivery and Shipping FAQS

Can you courier your products around New Zealand?

Currently, we are able to courier our cookies, slices and treat boxes around New Zealand. We are unable to courier our cakes, catering platters or frozen packs due to their perishable nature.

We use New Zealand Post services and these are placed on an overnight service. In accordance with the NZ Post terms & conditions, overnight/next day delivery is a target, and not guaranteed.

Is the shipping date shown on the calendar in the cart, the dispatch date or delivery date?

Shipping Date showing is day of dispatch. Parcels are placed on an overnight courier, please allow 1 - 2 working days and an extra 2 working days for rural addresses. No weekend deliveries for couriers e.g. dispatch on Friday may not arrive until the following Monday or Tuesday.

What is the cost to courier?

North Island $10

South Island $12

Rural Addresses Additional $5.50

Do you offer local delivery around Auckland?

Yes, we offer delivery to selected Auckland areas. Our delivery area is limited, and some locations may not be suitable for our delivery service. Please check your address at checkout to see if you qualify.

$75 Minimum Order is Needed. Delivery Costs $10-$30 (dependant on distance and calculated at checkout)

What can I do if I do not qualify for local delivery?

Unfortunately we are a very small team, and can't get everywhere across Auckland.

If your address is outside our delivery area, we may be able to suggest an alternative option. Many of our customers have successfully booked and used an Uber Courier to come and collect their goods from us and deliver directly to them. Uber Courier is a great option if we can't deliver ourselves to you.

Do you deliver on weekends?

Unfortunately we cannot deliver on weekends

We offer delivery Tuesday - Friday 9am till 1pm, and by appointment only for catering orders on Mondays. Day and time can be booked in, in the cart, when checking out.
