Sweet as Choice Bakery – Terms of Service
1. Overview
Welcome to Sweet as Choice Bakery. By visiting our website, placing an order, or using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, as well as our Refund Policy, Privacy Policy, and Shipping Policy.
If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our website or place an order.
We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page, and your continued use of our services means you accept the new terms.
Our store is hosted by Shopify Inc., which provides the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
2. Ordering
All orders must be placed through our website or confirmed by email.
Payment is required in full at the time of ordering unless agreed otherwise. Orders are not confirmed until payment has been received.
If you need to cancel or change your order, please contact us as soon as possible. We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations to receive a refund. Orders cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or those already in preparation, are non-refundable.
3. Pickups
Once a product has been picked up, customers accept full responsibility for transporting it safely.
We do not offer refunds for any damage or mishaps that occur once your order has left our premises.
If you are unsure how to transport your cake or products, we’re happy to give advice — just ask!
Once picked up, your order is considered accepted. Refunds will not be given for decoration style, colour, or design preferences after collection.
4. Deliveries
We are responsible for your order until it has been delivered to the address provided. Once handed over, we are no longer liable for any damage, melting, or issues that occur afterwards.
Your delivery address must have a safe, legal, and accessible space for us to unload.
For workplaces, please ensure staff know we are coming to ensure a smooth delivery.
If we cannot access your delivery location safely, we may be unable to deliver your order, and no refund will be given. We cannot wait or stay past the agreed delivery time frame.
5. Shipping
Selected items are available for nationwide shipping. All parcels are sent via NZ Post / CourierPost on an overnight service where possible.
Please note: overnight delivery is a target, not a guarantee.
Once collected by the courier, your parcel becomes the customer’s responsibility. Sweet as Choice Bakery is not liable for any delays, damage, or loss once your order is with the courier. Please order shipped products at your own risk.
If your parcel arrives damaged or incorrect, contact us within 24 hours with photos and your order number so we can help.
6. Refunds & Quality
Refunds are only offered at our discretion and in line with our Refund Policy.
We cannot offer refunds for:

Change of mind or taste preferences

Damage caused after pickup or delivery

Late pickups or no-shows

Quality concerns raised outside the product’s freshness window
Our products are perishable and should be consumed within 24 hours for Catering, 3 days for Cakes (or as stated on the label).
If there’s an issue, please contact us as soon as possible with details and photos so we can review your concern fairly.
7. Allergies & Dietary Information
We offer a range of gluten-free products made in a dedicated gluten-free kitchen.
However, other products are made in a standard kitchen that handles gluten, nuts, and other allergens such as eggs and milk.
Please read all product information carefully and contact us if you have any dietary questions before ordering.
8. Intellectual Property
All images, logos, and content on this website belong to Sweet as Choice Bakery. They may not be used, copied, or distributed without our written permission.
9. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
